Dell Helps Growing Businesses Streamline Critical Sales Processes With Addition of eSignature and eDocument Solutions To Dell Cloud Business Applications Portfolio

Dell Helps Growing Businesses Streamline Critical Sales Processes With Addition of eSignature and eDocument Solutions To Dell Cloud Business Applications Portfolio

  • Addition of EchoSign Global Electronic Signature Service from Adobe helps businesses automates entire signature process
  • Conga Composer from AppExtremes helps businesses automate the creation of documents and reports using data from Salesforce CRM
Dell is expanding its cloud applications portfolio for growing businesses, Dell Cloud Business Applications (DCBA), with new offerings that extend its Cloud Integrated CRM solution – eSignature services from Adobe® EchoSign® and AppExtremes’ Conga Composer eDocument solutions. The expanded solution helps growing businesses increase productivity and gives them the ability to streamline critical processes involved in sales transactions.

Just like the other elements of Dell Cloud Business Applications, both Adobe EchoSign and AppExtremes’ Conga Composer are cloud applications delivered as subscription services over the web, so there is no hardware or software to purchase or maintain, and minimal IT deployment effort required. Both solutions are also tightly integrated with CRM applications, allowing documents and data to be shared and stored in a single unified repository. The applications enhance the productivity capabilities of Dell’s Integrated CRM offering, which includes applications from salesforce.com, integration to third party applications with Dell Boomi as well as turnkey services and support packages.

“EchoSign eSignature and AppExtremes eDocument solutions are beneficial cloud tools that help growing businesses increase sales agility and drive revenue,” said Paulette Altmaier, vice president and general manager Dell Cloud Business Software. “By adding these solutions to the Dell Cloud Business Applications family of trusted applications, small and medium businesses can maximize sales with efficient processes with greater visibility into their account stream.”

Accelerated Sales Process with EchoSign eSignature Solutions from Adobe

The Adobe EchoSign electronic signature solution helps accelerate the sales process with an automated signature process, from the request for signature to the distribution and filing of executed agreements and forms. Using EchoSign, organizations can send contracts directly from their CRM system, view contract history, and save signed contracts with specific opportunity or contact details. The customizable, user-friendly interface enables sales representatives to drag-and-drop signature design tools, preview documents before sending them for signature, and set custom alerts.

“With the ability to track every deal in real-time across sales, legal and finance, EchoSign accelerates the sales process, delivers accurate forecasts and improves the customer’s signing experience,” said Jason Lemkin, vice president of Web business services at Adobe. “By partnering with Dell Cloud Business Applications, we ensure we not only give small and medium businesses greater visibility into their customer contracts, but also the ability to integrate valuable information across business units – ensuring technology helps to innovate, not stifle sales.”
Sophisticated Documents and Reports with AppExtremes Conga Composer

Conga Composer makes it easy to create sophisticated documents and reports using data from salesforce.com. By standardizing all customer-facing information and distributing it through a highly-branded document template framework, Conga Composer helps companies achieve consistency of message and positioning across all customer-facing documents, raising the professionalism of sales-to-customer interactions. Conga Composer enables users to pull salesforce data into MS Office or PDF forms as well as manage and distribute content and reports from within Salesforce CRM. Users are also able to enforce best practices with standardized processes, activity logging and field updates.

"Conga Composer automates the creation and distribution of documents with salesforce.com data, ranging from account plans and activity reports to complex orders and contracts,” said Mark Whiteside, AppExtremes COO. “The seamless integration of Conga Composer with EchoSign compresses the sales and contracting cycle down to single-click generation and delivery of agreements for customer review and signature."

Pricing and Availability

EchoSign pricing starts at $20 per user per month with an annual subscription. Conga Composer pricing starts at $12 per user per month with annual subscription and five-user minimum (volume discounts available). Both are immediately available from Dell by calling 877-857-2364.

HP Converged Infrastructure, cloud-ready solutions enable CloudAgile partner to expand offerings

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- HP today announced that cloud services provider CenterBeam has selected HP Converged Infrastructure to support the increased capacity demands of its cloud service offerings and joined the HP CloudAgile Program.
Sunnyvale, Calif.-based CenterBeam provides midsize businesses with enterprise-class cloud computing services, including hosted customer relationship management (CRM), hosted collaboration, virtual data center services and data storage management.
The rapid expansion of the cloud services market required CenterBeam to replace its EMC-based infrastructure, including EMC CLARiiON storage systems, to support significant customer data growth.
After evaluating solutions from Dell and EMC, CenterBeam selected HP VirtualSystem, including HP 3PAR storage and HP ProLiant BL460c G7 server blades, as the backbone for its hosted platform.
Migrating to HP 3PAR F400 Storage and HP VirtualSystem solutions has enabled CenterBeam to boost its storage throughput tenfold.(1) CenterBeam’s new infrastructure also enables its customers to store large amounts of infrequently used data to maintain high performance of mission-critical applications.
HP VirtualSystem provides CenterBeam a rapid path to agile and efficient virtualized application solutions. Its balanced architecture eliminates performance bottlenecks, while integrated management simplifies deployment and security across physical and virtual environments.
CenterBeam was able to reduce overall storage costs by more than 50 percent(2) using HP 3PAR Adaptive Optimization software, which automatically moves infrequently used data from expensive Fibre Channel and flash drives to affordable SATA drives.
In addition, CenterBeam decreased storage administration by 60 percent(2) with thin provisioning and a simplified management interface for seamless growth of its Microsoft® Exchange platform – without downtime. Thin provisioning technologies also provide the flexibility to purchase and provision disk capacity as needed.
“Exploding data growth is forcing our customers to find cost-effective options that increase capacity while maintaining performance levels of mission-critical applications,” said Shahin Pirooz, executive vice president and chief technology officer, CenterBeam. “The functionality and scalability of HP 3PAR systems enable us to offer affordable, flexible cloud storage services to our customers, while creating a unique competitive advantage for CenterBeam in the market.”
HP CloudAgile provides hosting, managed and cloud-based services
CenterBeam also has partnered with HP in the HP CloudAgile Program, which enables service providers to expand offerings with services built on HP 3PAR and HP VirtualSystem.
Leveraging HP technology, the HP CloudAgile Program offers service providers direct access to HP’s global sales force as well as the worldwide network of channel partners to extend their sales reach, expand their portfolio of service offerings and accelerate their time to market.
HP’s premier client event, HP Discover, takes place June 4-7 in Las Vegas.

Close the Deal Faster

News release from AT&T:

Close The Deal Faster: Interchange Solutions and AT&T Bring Sales Force Software to iPad with New App

SalesNOW App from AT&T Now Available on the App Store, Increasing Sales Team Efficiency for Both Small and Large Businesses

San Francisco, California, January 26, 2012

For salespeople who spend their days on the go, managing deals, customer contacts and activities just got easier. Interchange Solutions and AT&T* are now offering their sales force automation solution as an app for iPad. The SalesNOW App, also available for iPhone, is now available on the App Store.

Showcased for the first time today at MACWORLD 2012, the SalesNOW App from AT&T allows businesses of all sizes to:

  • Maximize seller productivity with an award-winning customer relationship management (CRM) solution
  • Synchronize all sales activity across iPhone, iPad and web accounts
  • Collaborate more effectively with team members

The SalesNOW App from AT&T is an affordable yet robust mobile customer relationship management and sales force automation solution. It gives companies the tools they need to track all aspects of the sales cycle - managing customer contact information, recording details of negotiations and contracts and grouping emails and call logs by customer for easy retrieval.

The Seller’s Perspective

Outdoor Living Brands, a SalesNOW from AT&T customer, is a franchisor that specializes in transforming outdoor spaces into comfortable living environments. Its companies build porches, design landscape lighting, develop pest control methods and more. So, naturally, its sales personnel are often on the move.

“From 22 different solutions that met our basic criteria, and three that met our specific set of criteria, the cost to deploy SalesNOW from AT&T was only a third of the cost of other solutions. Any company that is not looking at this product should immediately put it into the mix and evaluate it. Not only did we choose the right platform – it has more extensibility than we ever imagined,” said Bob Pogue, Director of IT, Outdoor Living Brands.

“Given the growing popularity of tablets for small and large businesses alike, the new SalesNOW App for iPad comes at a perfect time,” said Chris Hill, Vice President, Advanced Mobility Solutions, AT&T Business Solutions. “SalesNOW from AT&T gives mobile sales professionals exactly what they need to manage customer relationships on the go – using a smartphone, a tablet or both.”

“The iPad edition of SalesNOW is our first dedicated tablet version of the application,” said Mark Durst, CEO, Interchange Solutions. “Our customers can integrate SalesNOW from AT&T with existing applications on their iPads and customize the solution to meet their specific needs.”

For more information on the SalesNOW App from AT&T, visit the SalesNOW booth in the Mobile Apps Showcase at MACWORLD or http://go-att.us/SalesNOW.

The SalesNOW App is available for free from the App Store on iPad and iPhone or at www.itunes.com/appstore.
