Dell Helps Growing Businesses Streamline Critical Sales Processes With Addition of eSignature and eDocument Solutions To Dell Cloud Business Applications Portfolio

Dell Helps Growing Businesses Streamline Critical Sales Processes With Addition of eSignature and eDocument Solutions To Dell Cloud Business Applications Portfolio

  • Addition of EchoSign Global Electronic Signature Service from Adobe helps businesses automates entire signature process
  • Conga Composer from AppExtremes helps businesses automate the creation of documents and reports using data from Salesforce CRM
Dell is expanding its cloud applications portfolio for growing businesses, Dell Cloud Business Applications (DCBA), with new offerings that extend its Cloud Integrated CRM solution – eSignature services from Adobe® EchoSign® and AppExtremes’ Conga Composer eDocument solutions. The expanded solution helps growing businesses increase productivity and gives them the ability to streamline critical processes involved in sales transactions.

Just like the other elements of Dell Cloud Business Applications, both Adobe EchoSign and AppExtremes’ Conga Composer are cloud applications delivered as subscription services over the web, so there is no hardware or software to purchase or maintain, and minimal IT deployment effort required. Both solutions are also tightly integrated with CRM applications, allowing documents and data to be shared and stored in a single unified repository. The applications enhance the productivity capabilities of Dell’s Integrated CRM offering, which includes applications from salesforce.com, integration to third party applications with Dell Boomi as well as turnkey services and support packages.

“EchoSign eSignature and AppExtremes eDocument solutions are beneficial cloud tools that help growing businesses increase sales agility and drive revenue,” said Paulette Altmaier, vice president and general manager Dell Cloud Business Software. “By adding these solutions to the Dell Cloud Business Applications family of trusted applications, small and medium businesses can maximize sales with efficient processes with greater visibility into their account stream.”

Accelerated Sales Process with EchoSign eSignature Solutions from Adobe

The Adobe EchoSign electronic signature solution helps accelerate the sales process with an automated signature process, from the request for signature to the distribution and filing of executed agreements and forms. Using EchoSign, organizations can send contracts directly from their CRM system, view contract history, and save signed contracts with specific opportunity or contact details. The customizable, user-friendly interface enables sales representatives to drag-and-drop signature design tools, preview documents before sending them for signature, and set custom alerts.

“With the ability to track every deal in real-time across sales, legal and finance, EchoSign accelerates the sales process, delivers accurate forecasts and improves the customer’s signing experience,” said Jason Lemkin, vice president of Web business services at Adobe. “By partnering with Dell Cloud Business Applications, we ensure we not only give small and medium businesses greater visibility into their customer contracts, but also the ability to integrate valuable information across business units – ensuring technology helps to innovate, not stifle sales.”
Sophisticated Documents and Reports with AppExtremes Conga Composer

Conga Composer makes it easy to create sophisticated documents and reports using data from salesforce.com. By standardizing all customer-facing information and distributing it through a highly-branded document template framework, Conga Composer helps companies achieve consistency of message and positioning across all customer-facing documents, raising the professionalism of sales-to-customer interactions. Conga Composer enables users to pull salesforce data into MS Office or PDF forms as well as manage and distribute content and reports from within Salesforce CRM. Users are also able to enforce best practices with standardized processes, activity logging and field updates.

"Conga Composer automates the creation and distribution of documents with salesforce.com data, ranging from account plans and activity reports to complex orders and contracts,” said Mark Whiteside, AppExtremes COO. “The seamless integration of Conga Composer with EchoSign compresses the sales and contracting cycle down to single-click generation and delivery of agreements for customer review and signature."

Pricing and Availability

EchoSign pricing starts at $20 per user per month with an annual subscription. Conga Composer pricing starts at $12 per user per month with annual subscription and five-user minimum (volume discounts available). Both are immediately available from Dell by calling 877-857-2364.

Colleges & Universities Integrate Oracle's PeopleSoft Human Capital Management and Campus Solutions to Help Streamline Information Sharing

Colleges and Universities Integrate Oracle’s PeopleSoft Human Capital Management and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions to Help Streamline Information Sharing

Palomar College and Metropolitan Community College Successfully Integrate PeopleSoft HCM and Campus Solutions

ALLIANCE ’12 CONFERENCE, Nashville, TN – March 21, 2012

News Facts

Colleges and universities across the United States are now benefiting from the integration between Oracle’s PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.0 and Oracle’s PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) 9.0 or 9.1.
Oracle’s solutions for higher education are uniquely designed to meet the needs of modern institutions with Web-enabled capabilities – such as online class registration, electronic pay stubs, enrollment analytics and enhanced communication tools – that increase operational efficiency while minimizing costs.
The secure, services-based integration between PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and PeopleSoft HCM enables colleges and universities to share key information between the two products. The integration provides seamless sharing of core person data –students, faculty, staff, and alumni information - between Campus Solutions and HCM solutions, which is a critical requirement of most Higher Education institutions where each person can be in multiple “roles” simultaneously and over time.
This integration was delivered as part of Oracle’s Feature Pack Continuous Delivery Modelfor PeopleSoft Applications, which underscores Oracle’s commitment to provide new functionality to its customers on their current release. Feature Packs enable a quicker response to PeopleSoft customer requests, while giving customers the ultimate choice of how and when to deploy the new functionality to their users.
Oracle hosted an Early Success Program for two institutions whose business needs drove them to implement the delivered integration as quickly as possible. Each institution chose a different approach for the integration and both institutions had successful, on time deployments.

Metropolitan Community College

Metropolitan Community College, located in Kansas City, Missouri, has a student body population of more than 21,000 and nearly 3,000 employees across six locations in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
A PeopleSoft customer since 1999, Metropolitan Community College (MCC) decided to upgrade to PeopleSoft HCM 9.1 and PeopleTools 8.51 in March 2011. MCC was selected to be part of the Oracle Early Success Program, which provided support for the college’s implementation of the integration between its PeopleSoft HCM and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions instances. The project was completed in October 2011.
The main driver for the project was the successful upgrade to PeopleSoft HCM 9.1. At the same time, MCC wanted to maintain the integrity of the shared data of its employee and student population. MCC believes that the ability to have a single, accurate record for each person, regardless of how many roles they inhabit at the college, is key to providing excellent service to their students and employees.
Since the majority of persons in the MCC system are students, the college took the approach of maintaining personal data in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, leveraging the delivered services which provide the seamless ability to keep personal data of its student, faculty and staff in sync in PeopleSoft HCM. It deployed enhancements to Oracle’s PeopleSoft PeopleTools, such as Related Content, to facilitate its business processes.
Metropolitan Community College now runs PeopleSoft Human Resources, Payroll for North America, Benefits, Campus Solutions, and PeopleSoft Financial Management, including General Ledger, Asset Management and Purchasing.

Palomar College

Palomar College, a two-year community college in San Diego county, implemented PeopleSoft HCM to Campus Solutions integration as a part of a PeopleSoft Applications upgrade.
As a part of the project, Palomar College upgraded its existing PeopleSoft HCM to version 9.1, including Human Resources, Payroll for North America, and Benefits.
The College has been live on Campus Solutions 9.0 since June 2008, supporting a population of 32,000 students.
The success metric for Palomar in implementing the integration was to minimize change for its employees as they leveraged the new functionality of PeopleSoft HCM 9.1.
It also needed to ensure continuity of services, such as admissions, registration and student account maintenance for the student population. And, since Palomar has employees in the student database and students who are employees, it needed to maintain a single accurate record for each person, regardless of where the personal data was updated.
Palomar College chose the approach of updating person data in both instances (employee data in HCM, student data in Campus Solutions), which offered the least disruption in day-to-day user activities. Users were able to continue to use the system and many were not aware the significant architectural change had taken place.
Palomar College was selected to be part of Oracle’s Early Success Program. The project began in March 2011 and was completed in just seven months. Palomar College used an Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) partner to host and upgrade PeopleSoft HCM. The partner also provided primary support for the integration of the separate Campus Solutions and HCM instances.

Supporting Quotes

“At Metropolitan Community College, we wanted to upgrade our instance of Oracle’s PeopleSoft HCM applications to take advantage of new features and functionality available in the most recent version. However, we needed to keep employee and student data separate, but be able to share that data between PeopleSoft HCM and Campus Solutions systems,” said Patricia Amick, Director, Director of Administrative Systems & Management Services, Metropolitan Community College. “We found that installing the integration for PeopleSoft Campus Solutions to PeopleSoft HCM 9.1 was relatively straightforward and now the data flows virtually seamlessly.”
“Oracle’s PeopleSoft applications are critical to our operations,” said Don Sullins, IS Director, Palomar College. “We needed to upgrade to PeopleSoft HCM 9.1 and chose the Subscriber Only model because it maintained the flow of information between HCM and Campus Solutions that our users had become accustomed to. As a result, the upgrade and implementation of the integration went so smoothly that we believe the end user community did not notice the changes made on the back end.”
“The majority of our higher education customers have historically run Oracle’s PeopleSoft Human Capital Management and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions in a single database. As we continue to deliver additional features and functionality each year as a part of our feature pack delivery model, the integration services help higher education institutions seamlessly share relevant information” said Mark Armstrong, vice president, Higher Education Product Development, Oracle. “The integration is designed to help colleges and universities operate more efficiently so they can concentrate on providing educational and administrative services that are critical to the success of their campus constituents.”

News Release from IBM - Smarter Computing

Leading Global Insurer Positions for Growth in Romania with IBM Smarter Computing

Real-time operational visibility helps SC AXA Life Insurance improve customer care and enterprise performance
BUCHAREST, Romania - 14 Mar 2012: IBM (NYSE: IBM) announced that AXA Insurance, a global insurer with over 95 million clients in 61 countries, has turned to IBM and its smarter computing model for a massive four-year systems integration project in Romania designed to streamline business processes, reduce IT costs, and uncover new business opportunities.
Romania's insurance sector is playing an increasingly significant role in the country's economy. Moves by the government to strengthen its regulatory body and increase program funding from the European Union are creating new demand for insurance coverage. Last year, for example, the government introduced compulsory home insurance regulation that covers approximately three million households. However, according to data recently released by the government-backed PAID Agency (Pool of Insurance Against Natural Disasters), currently there are only 510,000 insurance policies in the country.
To leverage this opportunity, New York-based AXA Insurance established a presence in Romania in 2009 by purchasing Omniasig Life Insurance. Then to integrate Omniasig's systems with its own, AXA turned to IBM Global Technology Services in Romania. Under the agreement signed last year, IBM will provide systems integration and management services to help streamline risk management, consolidate data to provide the company with a single view of customers, and work to lower operational costs by automating several pieces of the insurance process. IBM will facilitate the smarter computing project through its data center in Petrom City.
"While more businesses and individuals in Romania recognize the importance of having insurance coverage, penetration rates still have a considerable way to go if they are to reach those of developed markets," said  Violeta Ciurel, President and CEO, AXA Insurance Romania. "AXA Insurance Romania wants to be part of that growth in Romania."
Also as part of the agreement, IBM will migrate Omniasig's client system to a centralized ERP SAP solution and standardize business-use rules across IT applications to enable workload optimization and integration. The moves are designed to create a more open, flexible, scalable, efficient, and secure system that provides AXA Insurance Romania with greater visibility into, and control over, insurance policies as well as help reduce internal investment costs.
"IBM introduced its Smarter Computing approach to IT last year as a way for organizations to realize greater efficiencies, improved reliability and better performance, all at a lower cost," said Bogdan Balaci, Country General Manager, IBM Romania. "Through this engagement, AXA Insurance benefits from IBM's expertise in creating a flexible and scalable IT infrastructure that will enable the company's aggressive growth initiatives in the Romanian market."
