CNBC's Scott Cohn reports New York's attorney general's office filed a civil lawsuit against JPMorgan over mortgage-backed securities packaged and sold by Bear Stearns.
Interesting discusion of the circumstances surrounding the lawsuit, such as when the alleged misdeeds by Bear Stearns took place, the circumstances under which Morgan acquired Bear Stearns, and why this is a civil suit and not a criminal action. Will this be a model for future actions?
