Redwood Shores, Calif. – September 27, 2012

News Facts

Oracle today announced ATIVAS, an information technology subsidiary of the Asamar and Cemig Groups, will be the first managed service provider in Latin America to offer complete Oracle enterprise cloud managed services using Oracle SPARC SuperCluster T4-4.
The company has selected the SPARC SuperCluster T4-4 to provide multi-tenant cloud hosting of applications and Oracle Database 11gR2 in a highly secure, high availability architecture. These services provided to ATIVAS customers can greatly reduce IT complexity, reduce costs, and provide high availability and performance.
SPARC SuperCluster is the first enterprise cloud infrastructure for running mission critical applications, with a highly flexible architecture. The SPARC SuperCluster T4-4 will be used to host multiple customer enterprise applications including Oracle Applications and other ISV applications, in addition to Oracle Database 11gR2, in a highly secure cloud environment.
ATIVAS has one of the most modern data centers in the world with international certifications such as the Uptime Institute’s Tier III and TÜV Rheinland, a broad portfolio of solutions and commitment to its service level agreements required by companies in various business segments. To meet these requirements, the company needed a robust, scalable and highly available IT infrastructure, making the SPARC SuperCluster T4-4 an ideal solution.
With Oracle SPARC SuperCluster T4-4, ATIVAS will have Oracle as a single point of contact for services and support, helping to accelerate time to resolution, and meet customers’ service level agreements. In addition, as a highly integrated Oracle engineered system, the SPARC SuperCluster T4-4 will help enable rapid deployment of client hosting solutions, with rapid time to production.
During the database infrastructure implementation of Oracle SPARC SuperCluster T4-4, ATIVAS performed a native integration with their One Touch monitoring platform, which will help provide high levels of security and serviceability.
SPARC SuperCluster T4-4 provides a flexible platform for consolidating transactional systems for a broad range of applications including ERP, CRM, BPM, and data warehousing with Oracle Database 11gR2.
SPARC SuperCluster T4-4 incorporates integrated management software, making it easier for ATIVAS to manage services and enhance its ability to monitor and provision Oracle environments. This is because environmental management is performed by a database administrator, which can simplify environmental control, reduce training costs and risks in a scenario where multiple people are managing the environment.
