FedEx Statement on Labor Union Vote
October 31 2014
A union representation election was held on Friday, October 31, at the South Brunswick FedEx Freight service center Monmouth Junction, NJ. More drivers voted for union representation than against. These results affect only the drivers at the Monmouth Junction service center. No other drivers at our more than 360 service centers are impacted by this vote. It’s business as usual at FedEx Freight, and we will continue providing excellent service to our customers.
With respect to the Monmouth Junction, NJ, election results, FedEx Freight is considering its options, including an appeal.
A vote was also scheduled for the North Harrisburg FedEx Freight service center in Middletown, PA, but the union withdrew the election petition late yesterday. The union would only have taken this action if it recognized it would not win the election.
