ATK Selected as Utah’s 2014 Manufacturer of the Year by Utah Manufacturers Association

ATK (NYSE: ATK) was selected by the Utah Manufacturers Association (UMA) as the 2014 Manufacturer of the Year during the UMA Annual Awards and Installation Banquet on November 1. ATK’s Aerospace Structures division received the award for its outstanding contribution to Utah’s economy, exceptional operational performance through innovative and lean manufacturing processes, continued improvement initiatives, and consistent economic achievement. The division was also recognized for its ongoing community and state involvement efforts, as well as its commitment to the principles of America’s free enterprise system.

Since 1968, the UMA has recognized outstanding efforts by manufacturing companies in Utah, and the Manufacturer of the Year award is one of the most sought after and prestigious awards for industry within the state. The award is decided by a committee of appointed UMA members who make their selection from qualified companies. The committee members are appointed by the UMA Chairman and confirmed by the UMA Executive Committee.
