Matthew Hollek employs eight workers at the Subway restaurant he owns in Seattle's Ballard district.
He worries that the city's newly passed $15 minimum wage will hurt his ability to be competitive.
That's because his competitors -- other small employers -- will have extra time to transition into the higher minimum wage. But because Subway is a national fast food chain, his restaurant doesn't count.
