Tech Data Helps Solution Providers Capitalize on Big and Fast Data Through Agreement With Saratoga Speed
All-Flash Storage Arrays Offer Unprecedented Performance; Can Replace or Complement Existing Deployments

CLEARWATER, Fla., June 2, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tech Data Corporation (Nasdaq:TECD) today announced an exclusive agreement with Saratoga Speed to provide their full portfolio of products to the company's channel of solution providers in the United States, helping them capture and monetize the opportunities that big data presents for end users. Offered through Tech Data's Advanced Infrastructure Solutions (AIS) division, Saratoga Speed's all-flash storage arrays address the unprecedented requirement for storage and analysis of "Big and Fast" data sets, providing unmatched performance, density, capacity, and versatility for end users.

"Tech Data is committed to providing cutting-edge technology and services to the channel," said Chuck Bartlett, senior vice president, AIS at Tech Data. "Our agreement with Saratoga Speed is another reflection of this commitment. Their all-flash arrays are purpose-built from the ground up to deliver a uniquely diverse and flexible platform that satisfies a multitude of high-performance data challenges. We are very excited about this agreement and the potential opportunity it creates for both Tech Data and our reseller community."

Saratoga Speed arrays are designed to ingest, process, and store hundreds of terabytes of data at speeds of tens of gigabytes per second, within two or three rack-unit (RU) chassis. This represents a dramatic reduction in physical footprint—a single Saratoga Speed array can replace multiple racks of competitors' equipment—and a competitive advantage for solution providers. Saratoga Speed's all-flash arrays can also complement existing deployments, with no additional certification or infrastructure investment required. This enables solution providers to help end users expand the performance of legacy all-flash array investments, extend the usable life of aging infrastructure, and increase scalability options for phased deployment.

"We are delighted to be working with Tech Data in introducing our revolutionary all-flash storage arrays to the channel," said Sharad Mehrotra, CEO of Saratoga Speed. "Tech Data immediately understood the disruptive nature of our platforms when we first met them two years ago. Since then, they have worked shoulder-to-shoulder with us in evangelizing the products and solutions to channel partners. I am confident that Saratoga Speed and Tech Data will both look back upon this as a foundational relationship for our two companies as we build out the business."

Saratoga Speed arrays are available for virtual or personal demonstration in Tech Data's Solutions Center, a 6,000 square-foot IT solutions lab located at the company's headquarters in Clearwater, Florida.
