CA Technologies Provides Sneak Preview of New CA Nimsoft Service Desk at FUSION 2012

ISLANDIA, N.Y., October 29, 2012 – CA Technologies (NASDAQ: CA) is providing a sneak preview of CA Nimsoft Service Desk (NSD) 7 at the FUSION 2012 Conference in Grapevine, TX.
CA NSD 7, the latest version of the company’s SaaS-based IT service management solution, features a new user experience that provides users with a familiar social media-like work space. It also provides built-in guidance with ITIL-based action-driven workflows. In addition, with its “configure-don’t-code” design, CA NSD 7 offers a fundamentally different approach to deploying and maintaining service desk solutions—which is ideal for organizations looking for ITSM solutions which deliver rapid time-to-value while fulfilling their business requirements.
CA Technologies is demonstrating additional service management solutions at FUSION that deliver both essential and comprehensive customer requirements. These include:
  • Xtraction for CA Service Management, which delivers advanced analytics and ad hoc reporting for business and non-technical users.
  • CA IT Asset Manager, which extends CA’s market leadership with new software asset management capabilities.
  • CA Open Space, which enables IT organizations to implement self-service support through advanced knowledge sharing and social collaboration.
  • CA Service Catalog for defining, publishing and automating delivery of IT services to business users.
Robert Stroud, CA Technologies vice president and IT governance evangelist, Service and Portfolio Management solutions, will lead a session titled “The Essential vs. Comprehensive Dilemma: Balancing Business Needs and IT Realities” on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 7:30 a.m. Stroud will discuss the evolving market of service desk solutions and what to consider when choosing between comprehensive and essential solutions and deployment models.
