On July 14, 2016, U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp spoke at U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business hearing about a forward looking approach to support small business development, including her bills that would invest in startups in rural communities between New York and Silicon Valley and improving ability of the U.S. Small Business Administration to support startups in the 21st Century.
