The U.S. government said Friday that Russia has stepped up military pressure on Ukraine by again moving tanks and other armaments towards the country, as the United States ramped up sanctions against several alleged separatists.
Leaders in Ukraine have struggled to contain an armed separatist movement which both Ukrainian and American officials say is receiving support from Moscow.
