A banana delivery to a chain of German supermarkets has sparked a police investigation when staff found packets of cocaine inside the boxes instead of fruit.
A joint investigation from the Berlin police found a total of 386 kilograms of the drug had been delivered – apparently in error -- to 14 different Aldi supermarkets in and around the capital. The police presented the haul in front of the country's media Monday and said that the packets had a combined value of 15 million euros ($16.7 million) and was Berlin's biggest cocaine haul, according to local media.
