FBI Searching for Bank Robber

The FBI is asking for assistance from the public in identifying and locating a bank robber suspected of carrying out two bank robberies at Chicago-area banks. Michael Anderson, special agent in charge of the Chicago office of the FBI, announced today that a reward is being offered for information that leads to the identification and arrest of this offender.

The bank robber committed his first bank robbery on December 5, 2015 at the U.S. Bank branch located at 11159 South Kedzie in Chicago. At approximately 9:15A.M. on that day, the bank robber entered the bank and made a threatening verbal demand for money and left the bank on foot. The robber was wearing dark clothing, a stocking cap, and jacket.

A person matching the description of the individual from the prior robbery and operating in a similar manner committed a bank robbery on December 14, 2015, at the U.S. Bank branch located at 11150 South Western Avenue, Chicago. At approximately 10:30A.M. on that day, the robber entered the bank and once again made a threatening verbal demand for money. The robber wore dark clothing to include a black skull cap and a black hooded jacket. No physical injuries were reported in either of these bank robberies.

Witnesses have provided the following description of this bank robber as a black male, 6’0” to 6’2” inches tall, weighing approximately 250 to 300 pounds, heavy with a stocky build, in his early to mid-30s, and wearing dark clothing. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone recognizing this bank robber or having information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Chicago Office of the FBI at (312) 421-6700 or local police. This case is being investigated by the FBI in coordination with local authorities.
