Cisco Joins Global Center for Health Innovation to Showcase Healthcare Transformation and the Value of the Internet of Everything
Cisco will utilize 900 square feet in the center to host healthcare demos, showcase self-service interactive displays, and provide more customized, visual briefings for customers
CLEVELAND, Ohio – May 26, 2015 – Today Cisco announced it is joining the Global Center for Health Innovation.
The Global Center, located on four themed floors in downtown Cleveland, is one of the only facilities in the world that displays the future of health and healthcare. The Global Center serves health and healthcare innovation, technology, education, and commerce through state-of-the-art spaces, programs, and virtual offerings.
Within the Global Center, the Cisco® Healthcare Customer eXperience Center (CXC) will utilize a 900 square-foot space to provide collaborative, consultative and customized healthcare experiences with customers and visitors based on their desired outcomes. Self-service interactive displays will present solution-oriented concepts across the healthcare continuum.
The solutions will explore how technology can help healthcare leaders transform the health enterprise from a patient/family, clinical and business perspective. For example, Cisco will showcase how to utilize a highly secure medical-grade network throughout the enterprise, and how the network allows for mobile care providers to access medical data on their preferred mobile devices.
The center will also feature how collaboration architectures are creating transformation in healthcare — bringing voice, video and data to wherever patients are located. Whether patients are in the home, on their mobile device, in an ambulatory or acute care setting, the collaboration architectures create a high-quality, high-value patient experience through technology.
Cisco will explore how the Internet of Everything and data analytics are shaping the future of healthcare. The Healthcare Customer eXperience Center will showcase how telehealth and sensors within medical devices can create new opportunities for innovation in healthcare. The center will also demonstrate how to empower care teams so they can help provide more proactive and predictive care for their patients.
Many of Cisco’s Healthcare partners are also present within the Cleveland Global Center for Healthcare Innovation which creates an environment to develop integrated solutions for our mutual customers in service to their employees and healthcare consumers.
Cisco Makes a Healthy Connection
The Healthcare Customer eXperience Center will provide a highly secure and private briefing area for customers to receive more personalized and immersive experiences around specific healthcare solutions from Cisco and our healthcare partners.
For these immersive experiences, Cisco healthcare experts can join virtually and provide customized briefings to participants who are on-site at the center through the use of Cisco TelePresence® and collaboration architectures.
Cisco will develop these personalized experiences based on the customer’s environment — their hospital, lobby, patient room, community centers and physician offices. By coupling their personalized experience with a deep understanding of their technology goals and the trends, challenges and opportunities facing the healthcare industry, Cisco’s presence in the Cleveland Global Center for Health Innovation will help create an impactful experience for all who visit.
“Creating a customized and immersive visual experience at the Global Center for Healthcare Innovation will completely transform the way we present to and interact with our healthcare customers and partners. We have now entered new territory in the way we at Cisco deliver information through this new and enhanced visual experience,” said Barbara Casey, Senior Practice Director for Healthcare Transformation, Cisco.
