Patients are able to interact with their providers, review their medical records and schedule appointments using a secure, online portal. The health center also offers an array of wellness services designed to assist members in managing and preventing illness. Programming includes vaccinations, education and coaching, smoking cessation and preventive blood pressure and skin cancer screenings.
“We are pleased that IUOE Local 101 has entrusted Cerner to manage the health of its member population and is joining the increasing number of organizations seeking to offer convenient, high-quality health services, tailor made for the consumer experience. It’s especially gratifying to be part of the initiative in Kansas City and help improve the overall health of the community,” said Mike Heckman, vice president of population health services at Cerner.
