Héctor Beltrán Leyva, one of the most wanted drug kingpins of Mexico, was arrested while he ate at a seafood restaurant about 10 blocks from downtown San Miguel de Allende, whose colonial plaza is a magnet for foreign residents and tourists.
Considered the leader of the feared cartel that bears his last name, Héctor Beltrán would eat at "Mario's Fresh Seafood", a simple restaurant known among some residents for its ceviche and fish fillet and that Wednesday was the scene of an Army Special Forces rapid operation to capture him.
