Public Service Commission of West Virginia Schedules Public Comment Hearings for Mon Power and Potomac Edison Meter Reading and Billing Investigation
FAIRMONT, W.Va.Oct. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Public Service Commission ofWest Virginia will host a series of public comment hearings later this month as part of its general investigation into the meter reading, billing and customer service practices ofMon Power and Potomac Edison.
The public comment hearings are set for:
  • Oct. 23Shepherd University, Frank Center, 260 University Drive,Shepherdstown, WV, at 5:30 p.m.
  • Oct. 24Shepherd University, Frank Center, 260 University Drive,Shepherdstown, WV, at 9:30 a.m.
  • Oct. 24West Chester VillageStafford Room1825 Locust AvenueFairmont, WV, at 5:30 p.m.
  • Oct. 25West Chester VillageStafford Room1825 Locust AvenueFairmont, WV, at 9:30 a.m.
In addition to receiving comments from customers, the companies will make a presentation at each hearing about the meter-reading and billing issues, as well as steps that have been taken to help prevent recurrences of issues.  Company representatives also will be available after each hearing to speak individually with customers who have questions about their electric bill.
Mon Power and Potomac Edison customers with questions about their bills are encouraged to call the Customer Contact Center at 1-800-686-0022 and 1-800-686-0011 respectively.  Customer service representatives will help customers understand their bills and assist those who could have difficulty paying their bills to set up a payment plan.
