Adventist Health Rejoins Aetna’s Network in Central California

SAN FRANCISCO--(Aetna (NYSE: AET) announced today that it has signed new agreements with Adventist Health and the Adventist Health / Physicians Network (AHPN). Effective immediately, Aetna members will be able to receive care at in-network benefit levels from Adventist Medical Centers in Hanford, Reedley and Selma and Central Valley General Hospital. Approximately 100 primary care and specialist physicians will join Aetna’s network in Central California.
This agreement now gives Aetna members access to all Adventist service locations throughout the central San Joaquin Valley.

Dan Rhodes, vice president of physician contracting for Adventist Health, said, “Our physicians look forward to joining Aetna’s network and providing the same high-level care and service that Aetna members have come to expect from our hospitals.”
Aetna provides health benefits to more than 300,000 members in Central and Northern California. Those members have access to a contracted network of 100 hospitals and more than 14,000 primary care doctors and specialists.
