SAP Launches SAP ActiveEmbedded and SAP Rapid Prototyping Services

SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced the availability of SAP ActiveEmbedded services as a new support engagement. SAP today also launched SAP Rapid Prototyping services, a new premium engagement service.
SAP ActiveEmbedded was created to enable customers to implement and operate better, and be prepared for accelerated adoption of game-changing technologies and other innovations from SAP. The offering provides a unique combination of an embedded support team at the customer site for specific projects and engineering services supported by expertise in tackling customer challenges.
"By providing on-site access to SAP experts for solution improvement and rapid prototyping through an agile, as-needed model, the SAP ActiveEmbedded offering helps customers who are wrestling with complex requirements and provides short-term, tangible business value," said Stuart Williams, software practice director, Technology Business Research (TBR).
SAP ActiveEmbedded is intended to remove barriers to innovation. The services place an emphasis on accelerating knowledge and skills transfer by helping customers to maximize their existing investments and make them manageable, supportable, scalable, and optimized. The offering also aims at high levels of data consistency and operational efficiency.
SAP Rapid Prototyping gives customers the unique opportunity to test drive and experience the value of new innovations from SAP, such as the SAP HANA platform and mobile apps, With the service, customer should be enabled to do so in an easy and accelerated way prior to making a full investment. SAP Rapid Prototyping is available through the premium engagements SAP ActiveEmbedded or SAP MaxAttention support.

On April 3 and 4, 2012, Avnet Embedded will spend an entire 48- hour period examining the intricacies of SSDs. Beginning at 12:01 a.m. PDT on April 3, representatives from Adaptec by PMC, Dell OEM, Hitachi GST, Intel, LSI Corp., Kingston, Micron Technology, OCZ Technology, Rorke Data, an Avnet Company, Smart Storage Technology, Seagate, STEC and Toshiba will participate in more than 25 on-demand technical courses regarding SSDs. Attendees can choose from courses that delve into:
  • SSD tiered storage solutions;
  • Data security in SSDs;
  • SSDs in rugged embedded computing;
  • High-performance caching;
  • Calculating SSD endurance and performance;
