Accenture Ranks 15th on DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity®

Also recognized among top 10 for Global Diversity, Supplier Diversity, Mentoring and LGBT

NEW YORK; April 24, 2014 – Accenture has been named a 2015 DiversityInc Top 50 Company for Diversity for the ninth year, marking the company’s fourth consecutive year in the Top 15.

DiversityInc, the leading publication on diversity and business, annually recognizes companies that exemplify meaningful diversity management through their corporate practice. To qualify for the ranking, participating companies must have more than 1,000 employees and complete a detailed questionnaire about their policies, diversity initiatives and workforce demographics.

“This recognition from DiversityInc is further proof that advancing inclusion and diversity is a business imperative. Our diverse workforce forms the foundation of Accenture’s culture and core values and helps us better understand and be even more relevant to our clients,” said Steve Rohleder, group chief executive – North America Accenture. “The rich diversity of our people makes Accenture stronger, smarter, more innovative and a better-performing company across all dimensions.”

According to DiversityInc, Accenture demonstrated strength in the four equally weighted areas of measurement, including Talent Pipeline, Equitable Talent Development, CEO/Leadership Commitment and Supplier Diversity. In particular, DiversityInc noted Accenture’s efforts to strengthen its pipeline of diverse leaders, its commitment to supporting women and its role as a pioneer in creating flexible workplaces.

DiversityInc also included Accenture in four “Top 10” lists:

  • No. 2 for Global Diversity
  • No. 6 for Mentoring
  • No. 6 for Supplier Diversity
  • No. 8 for LGBT Employees

“We are committed to providing an inclusive and open environment that attracts, develops and inspires the very best talent around the world,” said Nellie Borrero, Global Inclusion & Diversity lead at Accenture. “With this in mind, we strive to keep pace with the changing needs of all of our people, providing them with opportunities for rich and rewarding careers.”

Earlier this year, Accenture released its 2014 Corporate Citizenship Report, “Making a Measureable Difference,” which illustrates its commitment to advancing inclusion and diversity among its people and suppliers. The company intends to grow its percentage of women new hires to at least 40 percent worldwide by the end of fiscal 2017 and develop 170 small, medium and diverse enterprises through its Diverse Supplier Development Program by the end of fiscal 2016.
