FedEx Freight Drivers in Charleston, W. Va., Reject Union
January 21 2015
A union representation election was held on Thursday, January 15, at the FedEx Freight service center in Charleston, West Virginia, and the ballots were counted today. We are pleased to report that a majority of city and road drivers at the Charleston facility voted against union representation. Additionally, the Teamsters union has withdrawn another election petition, this time at the Clarksburg, West Virginia, location. The union would only take this action if it recognized that it would lose. FedEx Freight drivers continue to reject the union and demonstrate their strong preference for a direct relationship with the company. The union has now lost the vote or withdrawn its petition in the last seven elections in a row at FedEx Freight.
