Dow Ranked as Top Employer in the 2014 Great Places to Work® Ranking

Dow Polska named one of the top places to work in prestigious ranking

Warsaw, Poland - April 02, 2014
Dow Poland (Dow) has been named as one of the top places to work in the 2014 edition of the Great Places to Work®, ranking 8th in the category of companies employing under 500 people. Results of the ranking were announced during a Gala ceremony held at the Polish Stock Exchange headquarters.
“We feel very proud to receive this award. Both globally and locally, the award recognizes the effort we put into our most prized asset, our employees. We aim to attract, nurture and retain the best talents, which in turn helps us continue to build our global leadership position, develop innovative solutions and grow our businesses,” Robert Stankiewicz, country manager of Dow in Poland said.
The ranking is produced annually, based on global standards of methodology. Companies are assessed on the basis of a cultural audit and a Trust Index (employee survery). Dow, along with other top companies, has been recognized for its leading human resource and management policies, which strive for an inclusive workplace and an integrated environment.
“The Great Places to Work® ranking is one of the most respected titles an employer can achieve. What makes it so special is the fact that the majority of the assessment is done on the basis of employee opinions’. So for us, it’s a double point of pride that we have taken a top position in this prestigeous ranking, and that our employes gave us such positive feedback,” said Florentyna Błaszczak, Human Resources Manager for Dow in Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia, while receiving the award.
More than 70 companies were analyzed when preparing the ranking, which is in its 6thedition in Poland, but globally has been present for over two decades. The ranking has been divided into three categories, based on staff size: under 50; between 50 and 500; over 500. The ranking has been growing in popularity in Poland, which can be seen by the 40 percent rise in entries in this year’s edition, compared with the 2013 ranking. The companies on the list are some of the most dynamic businesses, with an average 15 percent annual revenue growth and 17 percent employment increases.
