The Future of Commercial Real Estate

On CNBC's Squawk Box this morning they were talking about the use of commercial real estate 25 years from now. People will still go to the office, although office space will be used differently to maximize collaboration. The biggest changes will be in retail space. Already online shopping has put a big dent retail sales at brick & mortar stores. This will continue. Strip malls will become vestiges of the past. The strip malls that survive will have places like Jazzercize or dentists' offices. No shops for buying things. Finally, someone said that the best use for the mall is going to be to provide protective cover for all the drones flying overhead!
