Cerner Named A Glassdoor Best Place To Interview in 2016

August 04, 2016
Cerner, a global leader in health care technology, has been named one of 50 winners among Glassdoor’s annual Candidate’s Choice Awards, honoring the Best Places to Interview in 2016 according to those who know best—the candidates. Glassdoor®, the world’s most transparent jobs and recruiting marketplace, released its annual report highlighting the best places to interview, based on candidate feedback shared over the past year.
Among all U.S. companies considered, Cerner received an impressive interview score based on positive interview experience ratings, interview duration and level of interview difficulty shared on Glassdoor throughout the past year.
“There is a shortage of software engineers in the United States, and we compete with the coasts for top talent,” said Angie Stanland, vice president of recruiting at Kansas City, Mo.-based Cerner. “We don't have mountains and beaches, but when we have that candidate come to Cerner and we want them, we win because we're a company that's making a difference at the intersection of health care and technology and we’ve made it a priority to show prospective associates how their contributions can significantly shape the future of health care.”
“The candidate experience is a crucial part of the employment process,” said Carmel Galvin, Glassdoor CHRO. “If employers succeed at this stage, they start off on the right foot with employees throughout their journey within the organization. By honoring the companies that excel at the interview process, we aim to help people find jobs and companies they love and educate employers about what it takes to hire top talent.”
Glassdoor’s 50 Best Places to Interview in 2016 list features businesses across diverse industries, spanning Retail, Accounting & Legal, Restaurants, Bars & Food Services, Information Technology, Finance and more. Winners are determined using Glassdoor’s proprietary algorithm, taking into account overall interview experience, duration and difficulty as rated on Glassdoor by U.S. based candidates who anonymously elected to share feedback on Glassdoor between July 6, 2015 and July 5, 2016. To be considered, employers eligible for the list must have received at least 100 interview reviews during the eligibility period.
