Johnson Controls appoints Suzanne Vincent vice president, corporate controller
MILWAUKEE, Sept. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Johnson Controls today announced that its board of directors has elected Suzanne M. Vincent as vice president, corporate controller, making her a corporate officer immediately.
Vincent joined the company in 2012 as vice president, Internal Audit, responsible for providing assurance to senior management and the Audit Committee of the board of directors regarding the adequacy and effectiveness of the company's internal financial and operational controls. She was also responsible for risk management and compliance with policies that collectively support the overall efficiency and profitability of the company. Prior to joining Johnson Controls she was an audit partner at KPMG LLP where she worked for more than 10 years, including 3 years in KPMG's national office. She started her career as an accountant at Ernst & Young LLP and also spent time as a consultant for the city ofToronto.
Vincent has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Acadia Universityin Nova Scotia. She is a certified public accountant and a chartered accountant. She served on the Canadian board of directors and the U.S. Finance committee for Forgotten Harvest and also participated in the Detroit Regional Chamber's Leadership Detroit Program.
