BLOOMFIELD, Conn., May 24, 2013 - The National Business Group on Health, a non-profit association of large U.S. employers, honored Cigna for its ongoing commitment and dedication to promoting a healthy workplace and encouraging employees and families to pursue and maintain healthy lifestyles. Cigna was among 65 U.S. employers that received the 2013 Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles® award at the Leadership Summit sponsored by the National Business Group on Health’s Institute on Innovation in Workforce Well-being. Cigna received the highest honor, a platinum award, for the sixth year in a row.
Cigna's objective is to improve the health of employees and their families through advocacy programs, incentives for maintaining or improving behaviors, integrated on-site and telephonic coaching services, interactive communications, and benefits that generate convenience, cost savings and employee engagement.
