Brian J. Cadwallader appointed vice president and assistant secretary of Johnson Controls, Inc.
MILWAUKEE, Jan. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Johnson Controls, a global multi-industrial company with established core businesses in the automotive, building, and energy storage industries, announced today that its board of directors has elected Brian J. Cadwallader as vice president and assistant secretary, making him a corporate officer effective immediately. He will also retain his existing responsibilities as assistant general counsel for the company.
Cadwallader, who joined Johnson Controls in 2010, currently serves as assistant general counsel leading more than 100 attorneys and support staff located in 16 offices worldwide. Prior to becoming assistant general counsel, Cadwallader was group vice president and general counsel of the company's Building Efficiency business.
Cadwallader previously served in leadership roles with International Paper Company including associate general counsel where he led the legal functions for the company's four international headquarter locations. He has a bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University and a Juris Doctor from St. Louis University.
