United Technologies Supports Philippines Typhoon Relief Efforts

HARTFORD, Conn. – United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX) today announced a contribution of $250,000, and pledged to match employee contributions up to another $100,000 to aid disaster relief efforts in the Philippines following Typhoon Haiyan.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by this terrible disaster. United Technologies has employees and many business partners and friends throughout the Philippines, and we are deeply committed to those communities that have been severely impacted," Louis R. ChĂȘnevert, UTC Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, announced the company's pledge to the International Services fund of the American Red Cross.

United Technologies Corp., based in Hartford, Connecticut, is a diversified company providing high technology products and services to the building and aerospace industries.
